ive looked through the archive and listened to every alligato i could find and im 99.9% sure its not here and my buddy lost his tape for the goddamn date of the show, this i beleive was the best alligator ever ,,it had garcia doing alot of little slides in between riffs, possibly 68 .but may be 70 because he knows every little fucking lick he can possibly do !! not to sure on this next part but i think the band stopped playing and started doing a call and response withe drums for a second" rat a ta ta at ata at tat! sounds somthing like that,,,,if you think you know this version let me know as i am very aggitated and quite possibly could start a fight with my older brother when he gets home from work!

That describes a few that I've heard, but the first one that comes to mind is 8/23/68, Alligator > Caution. For what it's worth you can hear it on the Anthem of the Sun reissue.

This may not be much help, but I've heard the call and response "rat ta tat tat" stuff that you're referring to in several shows. Usually it's during drums and it's in the late 60s shows so it would be the same time period. I believe there's one of these during Drums in 6.14.69. Sorry I can't help you with the Alligator though. Sounds like a barn burner.
